Notton House Photography
– Our Story
In 2009 my fiancé Ian and I decided to take our obsession for
photography from a hobby to a business. We
have both been involved in photography for many years and envied people who got paid
for doing what they love, so when someone said to me “You have a natural talent
for photography, why you don’t do it professionally?” I figured I’d give it a
go!
Then began the journey of finding
what area of photography we wanted to specialise in. It didn’t take long before we found our niche –
Portraiture & Weddings / Events.
We started by photographing friends’ weddings and holding professional
photo shoots in our studio. We had such great feedback from our clients, we decided
to advertise and before we knew it enquiries were coming in thick and
fast. Low and behold, Notton House
Photography was born!
Since then we have gone from strength to strength. With many
Weddings, Events and Family Photo Shoots under our belt, working as a professional
photographer is now a reality. Bookings
are coming in from advertising in Wedding guides, our website, exhibiting at
Wedding Fairs, social networking and my favourite: referrals from past clients!
So when people ask us “Why
do you love photographing people so much?” We have a simple answer: the emotion. The excited smile on a child’s face; the love
in the eyes of a Mum holding her new born baby; the pride on a Fathers face
when he walks his daughter down the aisle and the nervous excitement from the
Bride as she gets ready to marry the man of her dreams. It’s an honour and a privilege to be part of
these special moments and capture them in an image that will last a lifetime,
and more!
I would like to take a moment to say a special thanks to our
family and friends who have supported us in the beginning and those who
